Bridges Lost

Over the years I was actively interested in country bridges, I noticed that they were being replaced at a rapid rate. They often had outlived their usefulness in our high paced world. The bridges were also suffering as result of neglect, accidents, vandalism, and mother nature.

Newspaper clippings attesting the demise of some of the bridges were collected and are now shown here. A lot of them deserved to be replaced as they were just a commodity but others could have been saved for artistic or nostalgic reasons.
